Summer Berry Tartan

 

There was finally a sunny day that I could take pictures! Here is my latest tartan! Love love love the colours! And I am really happy with how the braiding on the fringe turned out. This pattern worked out really well and I may experiment with other colours… maybe at a later point in time!

New Earrings

Linen and Aventurine

Another linen and stone pendant complete. This one is sterling silver with an Aventurine cabochon. I am so happy with this little guys. Simple, comfortable, and so very wearable.

Garnet Ring

I had a really productive day in the studio last week and just decided to whip up this ring because it was in my head (also threw together a pendant same day)! I think it turned out so lovely and I am happy with the simplicity of it. It is small and delicate but still has some character with it’s bright garnet in the centre.

Hematite and Linen Necklace

Finished this piece off a little while and just took my sweet time to photograph it. It is from this new idea I had to use some of this lovely linen that I have and braid it using a Kumihimo disk. I had also had this style of pendant floating around in my head for a while (many many varieties already sketched up just waiting to be made). I love how the elements work together and I am excited to make a dent in the huge cabochon collection I have!

Grapefruit Tartan

New Tartan! These colours are incredible! They are even brighter than in the photos but the camera just couldn’t handle them! The pattern worked with the colours in such a lovely way and I am just so happy with how it turned out!

Pillowcase Fun!

I have been wanting to try out making some pillowcases! I had just finished off a scarf and felt now was the time! I have this wonderful multi-coloured warp going on and then I wanted to use some of my random bits of yarn in the weft to try out all kinds of colour and pattern combos! I am loving it so far and I have enough warp for three pillows! I am so excited I am going to keep weaving RIGHT NOW!
